Most of the time when we have mediation committees with the Senate, it is important to have the Speaker’s guidance to consider the committee’s interest. Perhaps what a House proposes is better or needs enrichment without being removed. Or, it could be removed but through consensus. The absence of the Speaker on that committee can lead to a lot of confusion."
