Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 52 of the Bill be amended by deleting the phrase “have a therapeutic effect or value shall be treated as a medicine” and substituting therefor the phrase “treat, diagnose or prevent disease, or affect the structure or functions of the body shall be treated as a health product or technology”. "content": "The use of the term ‘therapeutic cosmetic’ already indicates that cosmetic already has therapeutic effect hence there is no need to restate the same. The amendment seeks to harmonise the terms used in the Bill with the title of the Bill as proposed."
