Members, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 41, I wish to report to the House that I have received a Message from the Senate regarding the approval of the Mediated Version of the Division of Revenue Bill (National Assembly Bill No.14 of 2024) by the Senate. Hon. Members, you may recall that the Bill was committed to the Mediation Committee pursuant to Article 112(1)(b) of the Constitution following the National Assembly's rejection of the Senate amendments to the Bill on 13th May 2024. The message from the Senate conveys that, on 29th May 2024, the Senate considered and approved the Mediated Version of the Division of Revenue Bill (National Assembly Bill No.14 of 2024) in the form developed by the Mediation Committee. As you are aware, during the afternoon Sitting of Wednesday, 5th June 2024, this House also approved the Mediated Version of the Division of Revenue Bill (National Assembly Bill No.14 of 2024) in the form developed by the Mediation Committee. Hon. Members, the approval of the Mediated Version of the Division of Revenue Bill, 2024 by both Houses of Parliament, therefore, concludes the bicameral consideration of the Bill in accordance with Article 110(5) of the Constitution. In this regard, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 113(3) of the Constitution, the Speaker will proceed to present the Bill to His Excellency the President for assent. The House is accordingly informed. Thank you, Hon. Members."
