Rehema Dida Jaldesa and Mr. Michael Nzomo Mbithuka for appointment as Chairperson and Member of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), respectively."

"content": "In compliance with Article 118 (b) of the Constitution and Section 4 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, the Committee placed an advertisement in the media on Thursday, 14th November 2024, informing members of the public on the nomination date, time and place of the approval hearing. The Committee invited the public to submit memoranda by way of written submissions. The Committee did not receive any memoranda from the public contesting the appointment of the two nominees."
