"content": "the Bill be amended by deleting Clause 14 and substituting therefor the following new clause— “14. The members of the Board of Directors shall be paid such Remuneration of the board of remuneration as the Salaries and Remuneration Commission shall directors. determine”. The reason is that the initial proposal in the Bill was that the Cabinet Secretary in consultation with the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) determine salaries. However, you know that there is a commission which does that work. We are bestowing the power to determine salaries to the SRC."
