Deputy Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: That this House adopts the report of the Departmental Committee on Blue Economy, Water and Irrigation on its consideration of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond the National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement), laid on the table of the House on Wednesday, 4th June 2025, and pursuant to the provisions of Section 8(4) of the Treaty Making and Ratification Act, 2012 approves the ratification of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond the National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement). Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker."
