It was very unfortunate that during the last Ramadan, my people in Mandera fasted in the dark. Throughout the 30 days of Ramadan, we were in total blackout. "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. For example, there was a planned project in Lamu where we were to use an underground cable through the sea to take the off-grid power to Lamu. Because of lack of funding, this has not been done. The current administration’s ambitious programme for the country intends to have a mini-grid in the North Eastern Region.
