"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I concur with the Assistant Minister’s answer. One of the principal causes of cancer in this country is cancer associated with change of genes. You heard the Assistant Minister mention GMO. This means reconstruction of DNA to that type that is favourable to the plant breeder. When are they going to ban GMO because the potential causes of cancer in this country--- We know that, that DNA changes are listed as the major causes of cancer."

My understanding is that, there is interference with DNA. Genetically Modified-Organisms interfere with DNA and may cause cancer. To what extent do you plan to ban potential GMOs that can cause cancer?"
