"content": " Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, may I mention here that this Question was presented to the Ministry of Trade but we wrote to the National Assembly to tell them that it is not within our mandate. Maybe it should be directed to the Ministry of State for National Heritage and Culture or the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Agriculture wrote to us saying that it is not in their mandate. So, we wrote to the National Assembly advising that it should be directed to the Ministry of Finance. I do not know what transpired in-between. Allow me to explain why it is not a Question for the Ministry of Trade."

"content": "The issue of the price of maize is very sensitive and the Ministry of Trade does not deal with any aspects relating to maize, either at the level of cultivating, harvesting, sale, storage, milling, packaging, distribution and even in the determination of price. The Ministry that deals with Price and Monopolies Act is the Ministry of Finance. Therefore, I beg that this Question be redirected even though we took the initiative to write to the Ministries and to the National Assembly."
