  • 23 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: (Dagoretti South, UDA) Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker. My two questions to the Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Ababu Namwamba, are very succinct. The first one is regarding the federations that he has referred to several times. Noting that the gazette notice banning the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) by the Cabinet Secretary Emeritus, Hon. Amina Mohamed, has never been voided, vacated, reversed or challenged, and that there are two court orders confirming that due process was followed in the banning of FKF, are FKF officials legally in office? That is one of the federations that is pulling back sports in ... view
  • 23 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: I ask the second question as the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Communications, Information and Innovation. Is the Cabinet Secretary aware of any deals that are being cut with Azam Television in Tanzania? If there is any such deal, is it being done at the expense of the national broadcaster, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC)? Have we checked KBC’s ability to air live matches? Have they proven not to be fit for the purpose even when there is a memo before the Cabinet where he sits on revamping and reorganising the KBC? view
  • 8 Dec 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I will be very brief. From the onset, I want to put it on record that I support the Public Investment Management Regulations of 2022. There needs to be a framework for how this country is going to go into investments that are funded either through public-private partnerships, joint ventures or any other investment that will be requiring us to go beyond what is provided for by the Exchequer. This becomes so critical especially when we realise that in the last few years, some investments have ended up becoming liabilities. The space of ... view
  • 8 Dec 2022 in National Assembly: robust legal framework. I want to commend the proponents of these Regulations. I also want to commend the Committee that has presided over the framing of these Regulations especially with the speed in which they have brought them here. Hon. Temporary Speaker, while moving this Motion, the Leader of the Majority Party alluded to a project in the name of the Nairobi Expressway which was intended to clear congestion in the city. A lot of investment went into it and some of the records are telling us that on the Nairobi Expressway, we were building one kilometre of road for ... view

  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I am honoured. A few weeks after being elected, I stood on the Floor of this House and gave my maiden speech. I anticipated serving diligently and conscientiously in the five years that I had been given. I will start by thanking you for the mentorship that some of us who were first-time Members received under your tutelage. We especially benefited from the experience that you have gathered over the years. I thank all the staff who work under you, who have supported us especially in researching and preparing for our sessions in this ... view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: been chairing the Kenyan Chapter. I proudly report to this House that Kenya got the opportunity to take the seat of the Global Vice-Chairman of the World Scout Parliamentary Union and yours truly currently occupies that position. God-willing, if re-elected, it is a caucus that I would still like to serve in and take it further ahead. view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: We have had extreme lows. We have lost Members of Parliament, loved ones and had some false starts on some amazing pieces of legislation that would have changed this country. For me, I think one of our worst laws was having Committee Chairpersons and Parliamentary leadership being selected elsewhere other than the precincts of this House by Members of Parliament. I believe this was a false start. I am celebrating the new amended Standing Orders. This is because they will ensure in the next Parliament nobody will be holding the remote control of this House and it shall truly stand ... view
  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: offices to serve in decent, modern urban housing and the new police stations that are coming up. This is the billboard and posters I am putting up for this campaign. I pray they shall give me an opportunity to continue serving them. So, when I get back here, I shall tell them… view
