Speaker, the fiscal framework of the Financial Year 2020/2021 Budget has been revised to take into account the adverse impact of the pandemic on revenue performance. In this respect, the Financial Year 2020/2021 Budget targets revenue collection, including Appropriations-in-Aid (AIA), of Kshs1.89 trillion, which is equivalent to 16.8 per cent of the GDP. This is a stagnation from the estimated revenue of Kshs1.89 trillion, which is equivalent to 18.6 percent of the GDP in the Financial Year 2019/2020. Of this, ordinary revenue in the Financial Year 2020/2021 is projected at Kshs1.63 trillion, which is equivalent to 14.5 per cent of the GDP."}
