Jeremiah Kioni","speaker":null,"content":"I know the President is having this and also what it means. This is very crucial, and that is why I think CJ Maraga has made a mistake. When you pass an advisory opinion of this nature to the Executive, it may affect the independency of Parliament. We are only lucky that we have a President who will sit and look at the good of the country. If this kind of an opinion was in the hands of another lazy person, he/she would hold Parliament at ransom and we would have lost our independence. We would be told: “Pass this or I send you home.” So, you are really compromising the independence of one Arm of the Government. I do not know how many other people who advise the CJ because when you compromise the independence of this House, it is a major violation and an affront on our Constitution."}
