I rise to oppose this Motion by my very able and distinguished Senator, who we were nominated together in the National Assembly, Sen. Sakaja. There have been a lot of contestations as to why we are debating this Motion. When you look at the history of this country, the making of Kenya as a nation was for extractive purposes by the colonialist. Indeed, they were able to extract and expropriate a lot of resources to the Crown in London.
