Tom Mboya was assassinated in July, 1968 and the whole world was offended with Kenya. Kenya had a bad name internationally because he was a well-known politician. However, our Kenyan athletes put Kenya on a glorious picture in Mexico City in 1968. I think that is the only time we won a gold medal.
