At the outset, I support the Tax Laws (Amendment) (No.2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.48 of 2020). As I do so, let me start by saying that the COVID-19 pandemic made us to jump from what I would call the frying pan to the fire. Why do I say so? I have always said here that we need to cut our coat according to our cloth when it comes to budgeting.
