Senators, I wish to report to the Senate that pursuant to Standing Order No. 41(3) and (4), I have received the following Message from the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding the passage of the Public Private Partnership Bill, (National Assembly Bill No. 6 of 2021). Pursuant to the said Standing Order, I now report the Message. Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order Nos. 41(1) and 142 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, I hereby convey the following Message from the National Assembly. WHEREAS the Public Private Partnerships Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 6 of 2021) was published vide Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 19 of 26th February 2021 as a Bill to provide for the participation of the private sector, in the financing, construction, development, operation or maintenance of infrastructure or development projects through public private partnerships; to streamline the regulatory framework for public private partnerships; to repeal the Public Private Partnerships Act; AND WHEREAS the National Assembly considered and passed the said Bill on Wednesday, 30th June 2021, with amendments, in the form attached hereto;"}
