I have particular interest on the VAT on fuel. This is because the House has been accused of having imposed the 8 per cent VAT on fuel. In actual sense, it was the President who legislated through a Memorandum and the House was unable to raise the two-thirds majority. Many of us who were in this House that day will remember me opposing strongly the imposition of 8 per cent VAT on fuel."}
