By and large, Private Members’ Bills can be transacted on Wednesday mornings. Hon. Members, the Government has no business to transact today. While the Government prepares its own Bills, the House is not going to adjourn or just sit tight. We have this business, and we will transact it. The Speaker, under the relevant Standing Order, also has the authority, under some circumstances, to direct that certain Bills be discussed. So, in the absence of any Government Bill, I direct that we proceed and transact the business on today’s Order Paper."}
