In that coalition, President Uhuru Kenyatta had a running mate from URP who could not run on a URP ticket because the law does not recognise coalitions. Therefore, His Excellency William Ruto had to run on a TNA ticket. Moving forward to 2017, a number of parties; namely, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya (WDM-K), Amani National Congress (ANC) and FORD-K came together as the National Super Alliance (NASA). However, NASA could not sponsor a candidate. Therefore, ODM sponsored a candidate, but the running mate was not from ODM. As a result, we all know the issues that have happened since then."}
