The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. We cannot attempt to use a legislation to give a different meaning to something that is defined in our Constitution. If there is any intention to give a different meaning, it is only fair to amend the Constitution. To use a statute to give a different meaning to what is already defined in the Constitution is not acceptable. I would like to say to my colleagues that we are all leaders. We all swore to defend the Constitution. We cannot use the backdoor, because of political expediency, to pass a law that gives a different meaning to what is already provided in the Constitution."}
