I rise to support this Bill. This is one of the Bills that I had hoped to bring in September this year, God giving us life and grace. Be it as it may, I thank the Committee and the Leader of the Majority Party for bringing it to the House. In another life, I was very passionate about environmental law. I did environmental law for my Master’s Degree at the University of Nairobi but I abandoned it when I was invited to do another Master’s Degree at a New York University. My passion for human rights took over even though environment is also a right. I became more passionate about the rights of human beings even though I am still passionate about the rights of the environment."}
