I beg to move: THAT, Clause 99 of the Bill be amended by— (a) deleting sub-clause (1); and, (b) deleting the words “who has not attained the age of 16” appearing in sub- clause (2). The reason is more or less what the Chairman is proposing. He was saying that a child who is in conflict with the law should not get legal aid only in certain circumstances. What I am saying is that a child is a child, so long as one is below 18 years.
