My friends, I came to Parliament in 1997. However, in 1992, I was involved in the creation of the multi-party system, which is what Sen. Orengo was referring to. I was a founding member of the Democratic Party (DP), the late President Kabuki’s Party. I served in the first executive of the Party. It looked like I was already in Parliament. I competed for Member of Parliament (MP) seat in 1992 in Dagoretti South. I was not lucky at that time. After I was elected, I won the consecutive elections."}
