At the same time, Nambale, which has no hospital whatsoever, be provided with a sub-district hospital. We do know that Busia District Hospital is only 15 kilometres from Nambale. But Nambale Constituency deserves a sub- district hospital. Given the scarcity of resources, I am pleading with the hon. Member to be patient with us as we upgrade Ambira Sub-District Hospital and provide Nambale with its own sub-district hospital, so as to release pressure on Khunyangu Sub-District Hospital. We also shall reconsolidate the facilities in Khunyangu to give better services to the people in that particular constituency. However, upgrading it to a district hospital will have to be delayed until such time that the two constituencies neighbouring the hon. Member’s constituency are also provided with facilities like the sub-district hospital in his constituency."}
