Such suits are brought in the name of or against the Attorney-General. Indeed, all settlement cheques arising from these suits are processed and paid through the Attorney-Generalâs Office. As a result, particulars of awards settled against the Government are within the knowledge and custody of the Attorney-General. Accordingly, we have since referred part âcâ of this Question to the Attorney- General to prepare an appropriate answer. A copy of that letter is forwarded to the Clerk of the National Assembly."}
