We can equate this time to the time the then Queen appointed Winston Churchill into office. He addressed the House of Commons during such a difficult time. Churchill said that his was a time of blood, toil, tears and sweat. We can equate this with our situation in Kenya. President William Ruto was elected to office at a time when our economy was facing depression. We were going through a downturn of the economic curve.
