Temporary Chair, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 7 of the Bill be amended— (a) in sub-clause (1) by- (i) deleting paragraph (e) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph— “(e) a representative of the County Executive Committee Health Caucus;” (ii) deleting sub-paragraph (iii) of paragraph (h) and substituting therefor the following new sub-paragraph— “(iii) a representative of the consortium of health care providers;” This is to increase the representation of the counties since health is a devolved function under Part 2 of the Fourth Schedule in the Constitution. Also, to specify that the board members will be drawn from the consortium of healthcare providers to represent the interest of faith- based and private sector healthcare providers."}
