I know that we are in a liberalised market. Therefore, there is no Government control on prices of fuel. However, the Ministry could empower the NOCK for them to be able to play the role of a market regulator by intervening where necessary; they can have stocks of oil that they can release to the market. If the quantity of oil in the market increases, the prices of fuel will go down. So, I hope that the Ministry will be able to empower the NOC so that they can properly play this regulatory role."}
