However, in agreement with the Leader of the Majority Party, I will only move amendments (a) and (b) and drop part (c) which changes the architecture because we did not provide for it in the main body. Temporary Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended in paragraph 1(2) by – (a) deleting the words “may, and” immediately after the word Chairperson and substituting therefor the word “shall” (b) deleting the word “shall” appearing before the words “convene a special meeting of the Board” We did not provide for a Vice-Chair. So, because of that, I am bringing an amendment that changes the “may” to “shall.” If you leave that to discretion, no meeting may ever be called. Again, I am proposing the change of the “may” to “shall” in the second one."}
