(a) I am aware that Maji Mazuri Girls’ Secondary School has a shortage of six teachers and not ten as indicated by the hon. Member. Currently, the school has 13 teachers on duty. Likewise, Maji Mazuri Day Secondary School has a shortage of six teachers against three who are on duty. However, due to the under-enrolment with only 29 students from Form I to Form IV, the Ministry cannot post more teachers to the school since this would create serious under- utilization of the personnel."}
