I do not think this is a requirement any more. We need not to wrestle all criminals to the ground, so that we arrest them. We now have other ways of arresting them. A police officer does not need to be taller than all other Kenyans around him, so that he can make them obey the law. So, I think the issue of physical requirement that we need to make sure that we have 5ft 9â officers is really something that may have been there during the colonial times when one was to run after a criminal and pin him to the ground, before he could arrest him."}
