At the moment, the Ethiopians are constructing a large dam on River Omo which will have the effect of diverting the water. This will affect the water level at Lake Turkana. I confirm that negotiations between our Government and the Government of Ethiopia are on-going to ensure that once completed the dam will leave enough water, so that the water level of Lake Turkana does not recede."}
