Marianne Kitany","speaker":null,"content":" Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairlady. As a Committee we, too, propose to delete Clause 6 but we also propose substituting it with another clause. This is because we are trying to create an eligibility criterion that can be used to identify start-ups and give them leverage. Under the eligibility criteria, we are looking at businesses registered under existing legislation, such as a private limited company under the Companies Act, a cooperative society registered under the Cooperative Societies Act, a sole proprietorship, or a partnership already registered under existing legislation. So, we are not creating new areas where we create new registrations. We will use existing laws that create companies and identify the start-ups that meet the criteria that can be supported."}
