On behalf of the Senate, I join you in welcoming these students from Precious Blood in Kiambu, who are here on a visit and a study tour of the Senate. This is the Senate of the Republic of Kenya. Sometimes, we are calm like this, while other times, it erupts. I do not want to promise that we will be this calm the entire session you will be here, but just in case it remains this calm, know that it is normally a sober House. We reflect, pass laws, debate, and represent you, and that is, by and large, is the work of legislators. I hope that you will enjoy the full value of your time here. I look forward to having some of you in this House in the future to represent the people of Kenya. Thank you, and you are most welcome."}
