The first case of death was a patient known to have peptic ulcer disease who had a history of vomiting blood. He had no diarrhoea. He died as arrangements were being made for referral. The second case of death was a patient who was presented to the facility with a short history of vomiting blood, with abdominal distention and constipation. The patient died of intestinal obstruction and not cholera. In this regard, I wish to confirm that no deaths have occurred due to the Cholera disease. The deaths that have occurred in the affected area are completely unrelated to the outbreak of Cholera."}
