Let me start by commending my friend, Mr. Chris Okemo, who made an extremely important contribution in this House today. For the many years I have been in this House, I have always pointed to that saying at the main door into this Chamber: “For the welfare of society and the just Government of men”. It is in that spirit that I would like to plead with the House. Please, let us not intimidate ourselves by saying: “Kenyans are watching us; power-hungry individuals”, et cetera ."}
