It has been the only one that negotiates the prices outside the country and fixes the prices for farmers. As a result, it has fleeced farmers over very many years. We feel it is time that the Pyrethrum Board of Kenya Act Cap.340 was amended so that we can have a regulatory authority. The Pyrethrum Board of Kenya can remain as a regulatory authority and it can have a marketing arm, just to deal with the growing of pyrethrum as a competitor of other growers and factories. That is the only way you can keep the patent rights with the Government."}
