They lost money and the factory was burned. Yesterday, the Ministry established a three-member team which will look into the restructuring of the Pyrethrum Board of Kenya, with a view of putting some money to pay all the farmers. As we speak, the total amount outstanding which has not been paid to date is Kshs64 million. This was a higher figure. In order for production to continue, we have to accumulate flowers up to a tune of 120 metric tonnes. It is taking too long for the flowers to accumulate. During the January post-election violence, we lost 3,200 acres of pyrethrum."}
