There are a number of issues which have been ably canvased by Mr. Orengo. The first contention to the effect that Kenya is a sovereign Republic as provided in Section 1 of our Constitution is for granted. Yes, Kenya is a sovereign Republic. Sovereignty, therefore, by constitutional interpretation vests in the people of Kenya. There is no doubt that, that is correct."}
