The other time, you put the Question without recognising me. I would like to support that amendment by the Committee through Ms. Ndung'u. In the September 6, 2007 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3765 Memorandum of Objects and Reasons as given by the Attorney-General, the proposed amendments by the Attorney-General criminalise hate-speech by labelling it as subversion. When I hear the word \"subversion\" in any law, I get allergic. Some of us in this country have suffered when people in power used every excuse whatsoever to put people in prison for subversion. This could be a way of taking us back to the past, when people used to be detained without trial! I beg to support that amendment."}
