I want to put it on record that we are not fighting the one-third representation of women. I am urging the Cabinet to kindly sit next week and come up with proposals of how, in the next Parliament, we will have at, least, one-third of either gender representation in this Parliament, so that we can pass a constitutional amendment to make the operation of the one-third rule possible. Trying to put that provision in this legislation will not help our course because in the same vein, we will be violating the same Constitution."}
