(a) I am not aware that the Government Spokesman was escorted by a convoy of eight vehicles and motorcycle outriders during his visit to Kisumu on 4th April, 2006. (b) What is referred to as a convoy was, in fact, transport vehicles for 24 local and international journalists who had accompanied the Public Communications Secretary or the Government Spokesman to a tour of projects in Kisumu. (c) There was no extra expenditure in respect to the visit other than the normal routine 1264 expenses by the District Security Intelligence Committee (DSIC)."}
