(a) Yes, I am aware that in the year 2007, tenders were advertised for the upgrading of Makutano–Kithimani Road (C100). However, these were later cancelled due to non-availability of funds. (b) My Ministry is sourcing for funds for upgrading the road to bitumen standard. Meanwhile, my Ministry, through the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA), has awarded a contract for maintenance of the road in order to keep it motorable. Thank you."}
