I would like the Chairman of the Committee to kindly explain because these are Committee amendments and he cannot consult with the hon. Attorney-General and withdraw without consulting and informing the Committee on what basis they are being withdrawn. We received a memorandum from the Law Society of Kenya on why they did not want a tribunal as opposed to the committee that they have and this has issues to do with the independence of lawyers and self regulation. There is a court where when you find erring lawyers you can go to. I would like the Chairman of the Committee to clarify on what basis he can withdraw Committee amendments without the approval of the Committee."}
