He was eligible for a discharge lump sum and an injury compensation which he was duly paid by the Colonial Government. Therefore, he is not eligible for any other service benefit. However, as I have said, recently through the various negotiations between the Kenya Government and the British Government, it has been agreed that those people who suffered injuries before Independence can be assisted.
