{"id":337875,"url":"http://info.mzalendo.com/api/v0.1/hansard/entries/337875/?format=json","text_counter":1746,"type":"other","speaker_name":"","speaker_title":"","speaker":null,"content":"1) A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Chairperson of the Council if such person – (a) holds a degree in education from a university recognized in Kenya; (b) has knowledge and at least ten years experience in matters relating to education; and (c) meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution. (2) A person shall be qualified for appointment as a member of the Council if such person – (a) holds a degree from a recognized university; (b) has knowledge and at least five years experience in matters relating to any of the following fields — (i) education; (ii) management; (iii) finance; (iv) governance and human rights (v) public administration; (vi) law; (vii) economics; and (c) has had a distinguished career in their respective fields; and (d) meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
