The IEBC is an independent body and we report to this House as a Ministry on behalf of that Commission. What I have stated here is the true position. Previously before this position, the law actually demanded that hon. Members attain certain qualifications but this afternoon I think there will be a Bill to also deal with the issue. I do not want to anticipate debate now but I want to say that this is the true position and I want to assure my colleague that now the IEBC cannot be able to tell Kenyans what they used to say before."}
