In my own understanding the Committee said: “We have no amendments proposed to this Bill.” That is the position as I understood it. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, you will also see that I proposed no amendments whatsoever, except two minor ones. I would like to very respectfully request the Chair of the Committee because I have not been unreasonable--- I have allowed twice that the Committee should have a look at this Bill. This is a very important Bill and we are going into a very important phase where the Director of Public Prosecutions ought to have his full autonomous powers defined by law. I persuade the Chair and the Committee and probably appeal to the other Member of the Committee, hon. Millie Odhiambo, who was very active, to make a comment about that. But that would be my plea."}
