Member to live comfortably, as somebody who reached the pinnacle of his life. Every Member should aspire to provide leadership even after they leave Parliament. When a former Member of Parliament languishes in poverty, it is really painful. When you see a former Member of Parliament with nothing in his pocket, or getting a pension of as little as Kshs2,000 it is painful. The late hon. Shikuku earned Kshs2,500 as pension when he died.
