With due respect to my colleague and friend, hon. (Ms.) Mathenge, the sanitary that I am mentioning here – I want to make it very clear here – is not sanitary pads. Actually, as far as I am concerned, sanitary pads are already exempt from VAT. But in the event that they are not - I will double check - there is nothing that stops us from introducing the exemption at the Committee of the whole House stage. But I want to make it very clear so that it does not appear like I am misleading the House. The sanitary and pest control services that are provided to households are totally different from the provision of sanitary pads."}
